Comments about Fieldsheer Slip On Pants:
These slip on pants are perfect if you need to have protection and style all at the same time. Wearing nice clothing without a good slip on pant isn't the wisest move to make. With these pants I can wear slacks if need be and still have the protection I need for riding. They stay cool and feel very comfortable.

Cold weather comfort
from Springfield, IL
Bought purely for added wind protection in colder weather. I am 6' 3" 230lbs and wear 36x34 jeans. I bought the 2XL so I can wear them over my work pants which works very well. Knee armor is in correct location and waist has some stretch. Length is perfect. Especially like having pockets on front of legs that Velcro shut because I take cell phone off my hip and put it in there. My first use it was 34 deg and they kept me from getting cold, even at 65-70mph. My ride to work is only 15 minutes, so not sure about longer rides. I am glad I bought them because they greatly extend my riding season in spring and fall!
Great Basic Pants
from atlanta, ga
6'1" and 175 and the L fits perfectly over jeans. As others have said they're not particularly breathable but that's perfect for fall/winter riding as far as I'm concerned. No pass through pockets but the leg cargo pockets are fine and the waist is stretchy enough you can get in there if you really need to. Side zippers make even big boots easy so long as you're flexible or sitting. The only con I've found is that the seam in the back occasionally doubles up with your jeans and can create an uncomfortable seat if you're not alligned properly. I've not noticed this with other overpants but it wouldn't surprise me if it's a common problem. All in all great pants.
Lighter than expected
from Chicago, IL
These come exactly as advertised, yet I was a little surprised how light the pants were. This is due mostly to the fact that there is only armor in the knees, with no padding to be found anywhere else in the pants. They should make a good warm weather pant, but I'd still prefer a little more protection.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
