I ride on a lot of back roads and rocks out here in Arizona and these boots have been holding up well.I have had them for about 2 months and been on several overnight rides in the desert and they do a good job at keeping the sharp rocks away from my feet and no broken ankles yet.

If they look like ski boots and they feel like ski boots and they are rigid like ski boots...then they must be ski boots

Just purchased a pair of these boots.

They are very stiff right now and will take a while to break in. That's probably typical of most cycle boots. They come a little narrow but still fit ok. Even though they are supposed to be "shorties" you don't really notice it. I can wear regular jeans and the jeans will come down over the boots which is nice.

Pros: They seem to be of good quality. They should offer you good protection. You can get replacement straps if needed.

Cons: They aren't completely waterproof. They should be waterproof up to the ankles. Their is an inside piece of fabric that keeps the water out but it doesn't go up the full lenght of the boot. The straps are a little funky but close easily and stay closed.

Overall, these are worth the money. I like the fact that these boots are a little shorter. I will be able to give a better review once the boots are broken in better.
