Comments about FMF Titanium 4 Quiet Core Insert:
The last thing I wanted for my XRL's Titanium 4 exhaust was a quieting insert; but I needed one to avoid hearing loss and tickets. ;-) My concern wasn't so much losing power as ruining the sound I loved.While the tone of my exhaust is definitely less "thump" than "thimp" with this insert, I actually dig it - so much that I probably won't even remove it for desert trips; and not having to upshift a gear to sound less "aggressive" on the streets is definitely cool.As for power loss, I really don't notice any. I'm sure a dyno would reveal some, but it doesn't register with my rear. Bonus!
