Gaerne makes top quality off-road boots, and these are no exception. They split the difference in weight, stiffness, and protection between moto-cross boots and road boots. Just right! They break in after a few rides, and they are waterproof. Re: sizing. I wear a Men's size 10 1/2 shoe. Based on reviews of Gaerne MX boots, I took a chance and ordered size 10. A little snug with thick socks...but seem just about right with a thinner Coolmax sock. I think the 11's would have been too big. I'm very pleased with these boots. Bikebandit's price and service were also first rate.
