These don't replace a vacuum bleeder, because you still need to get the system mostly full of fluid before you can build up pressure, but once there, these are great for a final bleed.

I've fitted these to all my bikes. They really ought to be OEM equipment.

One caveat is that the seal when open depends on that solid thread sealant. This makes the bleeders a tight fit when initially installed. It can be tough to feel when they're bottomed out in the caliper.

I've installed these on all of my bikes, and provided the master cylinder is bled, these make bleeding the rest of the system a breeze. While not necessary, a vacuum tool helps speed up the bleeding process by drawing fluid quickly through the system.

I installed six of these bleeders on my '07 Goldwing. It made it very easy to run new brake fluid through the brake lines by myself, the Goldwing is more complicated than most motorcycles due to the linked braking system and the anti-dive function. I will still probably buy a vacuum system to do a complete change of fluid (air bleed then fill)but that will probably be easier with these bleeders.

I installed these on my GL1000 about three years ago, and am now installing them on all five of our bikes, and the car. Anything that makes doing routine maintenance easier is a definite plus.
