Comments about Goodridge Universal DOT Brake Line:
In the Q & A section, at least 2 people recommend using the banjo-center to banjo-center length as your primary measurement. I required about 31" for my front brake, and as there is not a 31" available, I ordered the 32" line. I also ordered a pair of banjo end fittings to finish the assembly. The 32" line that I ordered was actually 32", but when the banjo fittings are fixed on the ends (each one is about an inch long), I ended up with a 34" long brake line, a little long. Rather than exchanging the line, I was able to accommodate the extra length with some judicious hose rerouting. However, if I order another one of these, I will request a brake line 2" shorter than my OEM hose. Another thing to consider when figuring out the size needed, is that these brake lines have the threaded female fittings on the ends that are about 1.75" long. Add to that a banjo end that's about a 1" long, and you have a rigid line length of around 2.75" at the ends. My rubber factory lines have 1.75" banjo ends clamped on, then you have flexible hose. This could conceivably factor in if your caliper or master cylinder is in tight quarters. Ordering a banjo end with a different bend angle may make things fit, though. On an upnote, the performance, appearance, and quality of the Goodridge parts are very good. My more recent past streetbikes had double front disc brakes. Now that I've downsized to a GS500E, I've found myself working the single disc front brake REALLY hard at times. The braided brake line gives a more reassuring, firm feel to the brake lever under heavy braking.
Very nice

Very nice item. Kinda hard to install, but I guess brakes aren't an item you want to mess with unless you have to. I should point out that it does NOT come with the banjo fittings required for calipers with bolts. I have an '83 Suzuki GR650X Tempter X; after I got the one with the correct LENGTH (no fault of BikeBandit, I just didn't know how I was supposed to measure it), I noticed a definite increase in the firmness of my front braking from the rubber hose that it had when I bought it.

These lines are the real deal. Clear coating lets you see the steel braid, but not abrade the surface. I used my $10 coupon from the CW Motorcycle Show and my Bandit bucs. Wish they'd have let me use the coupon they sent for free zip ties as well : )
