This book is good for a general introduction to the theory of Motorcycle Electrical Components. However, I was hoping for more specifics. It's probably just as good as represented, and I was probably hoping for too much, but Oh well, live and learn. The book will be a good reference book to sit on the shelf and look at when I'm really scratching my head about something. However, I don't anticipate using it very much. If your looking for something specific to your bike go with a repair manual - not this book.

I've been riding motorcycles for 25 years and I still get stumped, confused, flustered, bent, etc... when I have an electrical problem. I always have a hard time figuring out what the issue is and where to start the repair. Obviously, I am no electrical engineer... but most of use aren't. I found this book very helpful and bought the others in the series to keep in my garage / library at home. It is not a book you are going to sit down and read cover to cover, but great to have when the motocycle won't start, the battery won't hold a charge etc... A good thing to have.

It does not have a lot of machine specific data, but most of that can be found in a repair manual made for your machine. This is suplimental.
