Hop away from Hopnel Rain Gators

Comments about Hopnel "Rain Gators" Legwear:
I do not recommend these rain gaitors. A complete waste of money! I used them once in a light to moderate rain. They kept my knees and shins dry for a short while, but that was it!. The velcro straps kept popping as I moved and once popped are difficult to re-fasten while riding. After making two stops and walking around in them, the portion that covers the boot toe was all ripped and frayed and no longer prevented the boot from getting wet. I realize they are designed for light rain, but they are non-functional there too. You're better off getting a real rain pant and a pair of rubber totes. I bought Firstgear and really like them! Now I'm dry and toasty.

works just fine in a light rain or wet roads condition, exactly what we bought them for. not a repalcement for a real rain suit.
Too Bulky and complex

I ended up returning these as with the velcro and size they were too big and bulky. They are harder to put on than my rain pants and hard to store on my bike. I was looking for a replacement pair of lightweight gators that are easy to pack (roll up to a size of a pack of cigarettes) very easy to slip on and keep my shoes and shins dry in the rain. The pair I have I purchased at Datona bike week 9 years ago are getting pretty worn.
