Comments about Hot Cams Valve Shim Kit Refill Package (7.48mm OD):

This kit saved me so much money! I have a '06 Yamaha FZ1 with the Genesis 20 valve head. Individual valve shims are prohibitively expensive and a full shim kit only has 3 shims of each size. I needed 5 shims of the same size so this kit was perfect. The bags the shims come in are clearly labeled and the shims themselves are printed with the thickness. Too bad this product is being closed out.

Thanks for your question! The shim kit you are looking at would be universal, you would need to measure your shims to see if these would be the proper outer diameter that you require.

        A:

Thanks for your question! Unfortunately we do not list the diameter of the shims used in the Thruxton, however, the Thruxton uses a shim-over-bucket style which is usually a larger diameter so they are most likely not 7.48 mm or 9.48 mm. To find out the proper diameter we suggest checking your service manual, or with a Triumph dealer.
