Comments about Icon Squad II Backpack:
I love this pack, although chest straps won't latch with all my gear on. Haven't ridden in the rain with it, so can't comment on it's H2O proof. Might do away with helmet compartment for more interior space. I will be adding a hydro system, would be nice if it came with one.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Icon has always been a good brand to me in the past, but this bag seems to be the black sheep in the family. I don't know if I got a lemon of a pack or what, but I'm extremely disappointed by this one. [$], only had it for a couple months, and it's already falling apart on me. Part of the reflective material on the chest has a sizeable rip around the lower clip, and the upper-most pocket developed a large tear in the bottom which causes some objects to drop into the main compartment. I simply don't use the pocket for anything more than gloves to prevent making the hole bigger. I could understand maybe if I abused the pack on a daily basis, but it only gets used a couple times per week at the most. The shoulder strap construction is perhaps the most baffling feature of the pack. Unless you tighten the too-long adjustment straps (which are inexplicably constructed upside-down from what you would find on a conventional back pack) completely down, the velcro ID-holder ends up on your back and the clips can't be latched for risk of choking yourself out while riding. That being said, it isn't COMPLETELY useless. It does have an impressive capacity (can easily hold a hand basket-worth of groceries with room to spare), and all the different pockets and various straps are certainly handy. I just wish the thing hadn't started to rip apart already.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
The bag has everything I needed even a place for my tools and laptop worth very penny.

This bag is a dream come true for ANYONE who rides as much as I do! Its got pockets out the wazoo,it is VERY reflective at night and during the day as well! Im a average sized female, and the chest straps dont mash or pinch me there, even with the bag loaded down with groceries and is well worth the money!
