This is my first Icon motorcycle helmet and I have to say... Wow, I'm impressed. A friend suggested I try one after having for a few months. I had an Arai XD4 and thought it was a great motorcycle helmet. The problem I had with the Arai helmet was the visor. At speed on my KTM 990 the visor would vibrate and make a horrible buzzing noise. It was so bad that it would give me a headache even with earplugs in. This Icon Variant helmet is very comfortable, the shield provides excellent visibility, it is quiet and doesn't vibrate at all and it looks great. I've been a loyal Arai helmets for 10 years, maybe change is good...
