Comments about JT Sprockets Alloy Sprocket:

The sprocket was very easy to install and you can't beat the price. the JR50 is now more manageable in loose sand with the added torque from going down a tooth!

Fit well, no slack between the sprocket and the shaft. Had to loosen my chain tensioner, but that just shows how much my old sprocket was worn down.

    Alloy means aluminum

Comments about JT Sprockets Alloy Sprocket:

Note, alloy at Bike Bandit means aluminum alloy. The word "alloy" means a mixture of different elements, or metals. Iron or aluminum can be alloyed with different elements to obtain different properties. For instance, iron and carbon make steel, add molybdenum and chromium and you get exceptionally strong steel. Bike bandit webside doesn't make it clear that they use "alloy" to mean only aluminum, and a phone call to them had salesman telling me they were steel. Would be nice if Bikebandit would make it clear these were aluminum, or at least show manufacturer's part number for independent research by potential buyers, thus saving me a month of dealing with getting steel sprockets and credit for freight and for the original sprockets after return. Not to mention two hours of waiting on hold and thus burning up my phone minutes.

Comments about JT Sprockets Alloy Sprocket:

I am able to cruise the same speed with less engine noise and strain. I get better gas mileage in the deal. It still retains more than enough gearing to take off in first. I would recommend to anyone for their Honda rebel.

              • Q:

                Hi

I'm building a hybrid post classic racebike which runs a 530 chain. I need a 43 and a 45 tooth rear sprocket (which can run a 530 chain) to fit a 2002 Kawasaki zx6r rear wheel.
The bike is powered by a 1989 CBR600 with 16 tooth engine sprocket. Alternatively can I change that sprocket to take a 520?

Many thanks and good luck answering this

Thank you for your question. JT does not offer a 520 conversion for the CBR600F 87-90. Although the part number is the same between the F2/F3 and the Hurricane 600.The F2/F3 models do have a 520 conversion. Yes the ZX6R also offers a 520 conversion.
