Too good to be true ?

      Comments about K&S Honda Motorcycle Ignition Switch Repair Kit:

      I had difficulty in getting the three tabs on the swithch to snap into the base of the body. The spring loaded design of the switch tends to force the tabs loose. After finally getting the tabs to stay, it put the contacts in such a bind that turning the ignition key was near impossible. The solution was to replace the entire ignition switch with a new unit.........

        this is replacing the original ignition switch the switch is easy to change out.had to play with the locking tabs to get it to stay in place but it works fine.

          Upon looking at this piece, I have a question about its use ... I have an 83 Honda Goldwing, but my old piece has 6 connectors, not 5 ... Will this work, and if so why is there 6 on mine?

            Thansk for your question! this unfortunately will not work for your machine. We also would not be sure why Honda designed this item with a 6 prong connector. You may want to check with a local shop or mechanic for details on that.
