Decent knob, short life
Comments about Kenda K784 Big Block Motorcycle Tire:
Mounted a set on my KLR650 before a 2500 mile trip. Mix of slab(25%), state highway(40%), dirt roads(30%) and trails(5%).I found the break in period to be a bit sketchy. After mounting the tires, it took quite a while(about 100 miles) for the tires to scuff in well. Until they scrubbed, they felt very unattached to the road. It could have been been the knob design, but I've run the Dunlop 606 before, and they felt much more stable from the get go. However once the were broke in, I found them to be quiet, and quite decent on the road. They performed equally well on the dirt.My trouble with them is that the rear wears extremely quick. At the end of the trip, the rear was just about shot, I expect no more than 3000 miles to complete baldness from the rear. The front however looks only slightly worn. They do wear evenly and even when the rear is well worn, it is not as noisy as a Dunlop 606. Traction is not quite as good as the 606, on or offroad, and wear of the rear being equal, I'd rather spend a few extra dollars and get the 606. The fronts however track just as good as a 606 but with much better even wear and longevity.Overall decent tire. Good price. Short life. Just be careful during the break in period.

A perfect match for the Heidenau k60 scout on the rear. Gives confidence on loose gravel and tracks perfectly on packed dirt. Drought here so no reports on mud.
Very Hard to mount the back

I got these in the mail and tried to mount them at home with the spoons I just bought. The front tire went on very easy. The back tire was nearly impossible. I actually broke a spoon trying to mount it on my KLR 650. I finally had to take it to a shop to get it mounted. The back tire wanted to suck on to the bead and would not come off. I think you would be in trouble if you had to mess with this tire on the side of the road.

I bought this tire for a cafe-project, a 1977 CB 750 K. I wanted that street tracker look, so I didn't care too much about performance. Tires ride well on asphalt, however as expected I won't get a lot of miles out of them. Not that I really care, it's just to drive from home to bike night!
