Comments about Clymer Manual Honda 100-350cc OHC Singels, 1969-1982 (Manual # M315):

So far so good, have not done anything crazy on my 1975 xl 250 mechanically yet but what I have noticed that I like about it is that it provides measurements and such as far as wear and tear on everything from the cylinder to the hubs so you could potentially check all miniscule details on the bike to be sure something is not too worn. Has handy wiring diagrams as well, I don't know what that other fellah was saying about it not having anything about the magneto unless he doesnt realize the terms are rotor and stator. Explains entire electrical system and has test voltages to see about the charging system and so forth. BESIDES THE WIRING DIAGRAMS AND PARTS DIAGRAMS I THINK YOU WOULD BE HARD PRESSED TO FIND ANY OF THE REST OF THE INFO IT PROVIDES ONLINE.

Comments about Clymer Manual Honda 100-350cc OHC Singels, 1969-1982 (Manual # M315):

I got this manual to help resurrect 1970's Honda XL250 MotorSports. It's a very useful manual, but lacks instructions on some proceedures. I came accross a few times where it said to remove one thing or another and not give enough information (if any at all) on how to do it. But if you are machanical minded you should be able to figure it out on your own. And if you're not, you shouldn't attempt to work on them, anyway...

I guess if you were rebuilding the engine or trans it would be a big help. I was however having issues with the magneto system and this book had "ZERO" info on it. It had no information what so ever on my '76 XL350 ignition system.

My '74 XL175, payed $200.oo for it. He could barely start it, let alone keep it running.. With my CLYMER MANUAL specs for Valve gaps, Ignition point gap, Carb adjustments, I now ride a well running machine. Well, the cluch slips. But with BIKE BADITS connections to parts and my CLYMERS MANUAL, thats this weekend project!! NICE MANUAL, good & throu seperation of engine size and years...
