Haynes Service manual
Comments about Haynes Manual Suzuki SV650 & SV650-S (Manual # 3912):
Easy to follow descriptions and procedures for the layman, or simple 'mechanic'. Nice layout with plenty of pictures, wish I could get one for my CB600F
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Worth The Money
I own a 2006 SV650S, and it seems no one wants to write a manual yet. But seeing as how the K5 through K7 models are basically the same, I decided to try this '99 to '05 manual out. It it near-perfect for my bike. Anyone willing to attempt the repairs and maintenance will have the common sense needed to adapt any necessary changes by one year (or by continent, since the manual is actually the Euro version). Or, if you hire a mechanic this book will give you an idea of what he is doing, so you won't get taken.
Good deal. I used the manual the first day. It is not as detailed as the service manual is technically, but that's a good thing for a no-mechanic. The book puts things in a language I can understand. I like it better than the factory manual.
