Comments about Haynes Manual Triumph 750 / 900 Triples & 1200 Fours (Manual # 2162):
I got this book because I bought a 1995 Thunderbird and the nearest shop that will service it is more than 30 miles away. I'm no mechanic, yet the first day I got this book I was able to pull the tank, carb, air box and aux airbox, and also replace the horn and turn signal. I was able to identify many discrepancies that were affecting performance and correct them. If you aren't mechanically knowledgeable and want to learn how to conduct routine maintenance on your bike, this is an excellent resource for the budding shadetree mechanic.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

easy to understand and easy to follow instructions
It's handy to have around if you like to perform general upkeep on your own bike. It's got good pictures to help you work through projects. It is a little bit of a pain sifting through all the info to make sure you're following the instructions for your bike. But it's understandable they did have to cram several different bikes into one book.
