Comments about BikeMaster Automatic Battery Charger:

I got this at the same time I bought a new battery, so when I installed the battery I also installed the wires and ran the wire to an area behind my side panel for the future. It came with alligator clips as well and is plugged in right now keeping an eye on my lawn tractor battery, which tends to lose charge between mowing days. So far so good, it has done what it's supposed to do. It doesn't get hot....can't think of anything else...I like it and am happy to have it. I gave it 4 stars because NOTHING is perfect. :)

Comments about BikeMaster Automatic Battery Charger:

It plugs in the wall and has clamps or ring mounts to attach to bettery terminals. I haven't used it on a motorcycle battery, but I have is hooked up as a trickle charger on an extra car battery, Amber light stays on till it has the battery charged, then it switches to the green light which is the trickle charge.

Comments about BikeMaster Automatic Battery Charger:

Its vey convenient to use. With an extra plug for each of your machines, keeping your batteries charged up in the "off season" couldn't be easier! Your bike battery will be all ready to go on the next ride and the battery will also last longer too if its kept charged.

My touring bike in-line charge cable has a fuse. Will this charger provide notice if the fuse is open such that no charge is occurring ? I ruined a battery because the light was green all winter but the fuse was open.
          Thank you

It says "automatic" battery charger. Is this whats known as a "trickle" charger which keeps charging or a "float" charger which shuts off and monitors the battery, turning it back on if it needs to, to keep it fully charged?
