Comments about Motion Pro Chain Breaker:

If you're simply looking for a tool to break chains, this tool is well worth the money. Any further chain maintenance may require more specialized tool(s). As always, consider your needs carefully before buying.

I found the pin integrity to be poor. Before using the tool, I strongly recommend that the user grind down the chain pins with a Dremel tool (or the like) before pushing them out with the tool. I also recommend having at least one spare removal pin on hand.

Comments about Motion Pro Chain Breaker:

Modest priced tool, adequate in my experience for breaking (cutting) 428 - 530 chains. Handle is quite short giving limited leverage to hold tool in place when pressing out pin. Tip is subject to breakage but replaceable and inexpensive. I might consider a heavier, more expensive breaker if I were to replace this but it has served me reasonably well for several years of service and more than a dozen chain tasks. Would recommend with these qualifications
