Comments about Motion Pro Magneto Flywheel Puller, 16mm x 1.5 Right-Hand:
Rented a 5ton pulley puller to fix the left side oil leak on my bike caused by the oil seal. Stripped threads. This one worked right away and would of saved me a lot of hassle had I purchased It from the get go. Don't be overly anxious like i was and rent equipment that won't work. Buy this and be done with it.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Worked Like a Charm

Great little tool. I had to pull the flywheel (generator cover) on my 2003 Yamaha R1. Read online about folks having issues with stripping this puller bolt, but it seemed they were just using it incorrectly. I got the bolt started, cranked it down a bit, tapped the end with a sledge, then repeated 3 times. Within 5 minutes, my flywheel was loose, and within the hour I had replaced my stator and was out riding again.

I used this along with a strap-wrench to hold the flywheel still. Put a little oil on the end so it wouldn't seize. Took a fair amount of force. I used a pipe to extend my ratchet for more leverage. Worked great!

I bought this puller for my 2008 Honda Rebel 250. Was super easy to remove the fly wheel after having removed the locking bolt (which required a lot of torque to remove). PERFECT!!!
