The Z6 has unmatched tread life, thanks to the combination of carcass, compound and tread design. You can expect a totally balanced performance during the entire life of this tire. Metzeler's CMT (Contour Modeling Technology) combines different profiles to optimize handling at all lean angles. The patented 0° steel belt technology provides stiffer a carcass for perfect balance of performance for one- and two-up riding; minimized stand-up behavior under mid-corner braking situations. Up to 20% dry grip improvement (over the ME Z4) thanks to Finite Carbon Matrix, a new carbon black compound structure. W-rated for speeds up to 168 mph.

Comments about Metzeler Roadtec Z6 Motorcycle Tire:
I put these tires on my R1150RT 10 months ago. I now have just a tad over 11,000 miles on them and they still seem to have a lot of life left, though I am watching them carefully at this time. After installation I started a trip from Seattle down the entire west coast to San Diego then up and across through Nevada to Mesa AZ. I found these tires to be smooth with great grip at any speed and surface as I powered through the twisties along 101 and the coast highway then out across the desert. I ride in any weather except snow and ice and these tires have been great.Delivery was quick as is usual from BB and I'm getting ready to ordermy next set.
Metzeler roadtec Z6 rear

This was the same tire that came with the bike, a Yamaha FJR 1300 sport tourer. I got 10,000 miles on the first tire, so why go for anything else? Good ride and let's me handle the bike the way I want. Got a great price from BikeBandit and service was fast and efficient. I removed the wheel but let a dealer change and balance the tire. I will always buy Metzeler. My front tire showed cracks in the sidewalls less than a year after I purchased the bike. I called Metzeler and after the dealer verified the problem sent me a new tire at no cost. It doesn't get any better than that.
So far, so good!

A friend recommended the Metzeler Marathon ME880s for my VTX, and all the reviews I read supported his recommendation. After experiencing the amazing improvement those tires made, I looked at the Roadtec Z6s to replace my stock Bridgestones when my ST1300 needed tires. I have no complaints about the Battleax BT020s I had on the ST. I got over 11,000 miles and still had good tread, but the rear tire apparently got cut and developed a slow leak, and I was headed to the mountains for 1,500 miles in the twisties. So, I got the Z6s installed and left for the Smokies. We rode about 1,500 miles, and I really enjoyed these tires. From my brief experience with these tires so far, I have great confidence in their handling and smooth ride. We rode through heavy rain, too, with no trouble nor even a hint of slippage. I am not an aggressive rider, but these tires encouraged me to attack curves with a little more vigor. My experiences with these and the Marathons have made me a believer in Metzeler tires.
