Comments about Michelin Anakee 3 Adventure Touring Tire:

I ride a GS1150 that I defiantly dual-sport throughout the Utah backcountry. I got these because no one else had a pair and I liked the look of the tread pattern. I have ridden a variety of tires like TKCs, Tourances etc.
Without question these are THE BEST. I dont make a fuss over pressures and make the tires work without allot of fuss'n around. They are great on asphalt solid to the limits of the shoulder. Absolutely a surprise in the sand as I never failed to maintain forward motion. Slimey mud is a DS tires biggest challenge but this tire more than held its own and better than any other Ive ridden except real Knobbys. Total directional stability over rain grooves and pavement transitions/meet lines AWSOME!
I will be buying another pair after these. 4000mi on these now and plenty left.

Comments about Michelin Anakee 3 Adventure Touring Tire:

Lots of experience on various DS tires on the 1150/1200 and these A3's came OEM on my new R1200GSW, On the pavement these tires do a better job than the best DS tires and many full on road tires that I've ridden, off road they perform better than anything this side of a knobby, the only con and it's no big deal at all but they are a little noisy on asphalt when they're new, the noise dissipates after a thousand or so miles, they also last a long time, I bought a new set when the bike had 5k miles anticipating having to replace a pair of worn out tires soon but at 7k miles they still have a ways to go.

Comments about Michelin Anakee 3 Adventure Touring Tire:

Been on the Anakee 2 twice, you can notice the difference within 100 miles. Put the tire on and rode 700 miles over 3 days in various conditions was very happy. You can only hope the price can come down.

Comments about Michelin Anakee 3 Adventure Touring Tire:

These tires were bought to replace some full bore usa tires. They were dangerous in rain. These new michelins are worth every penny!!!! THey made the bikes handling quick responsive and crisp. Fantastic tire!! Im using these on a heavy suzuki Vstrom dl1000 and this is the best thing since sliced bread. I only run michelins on race bike and other street machines. I made a bad desicion buying cheap as i was going to sell the bike but now i can see the error of my ways.
