    I'll be honest...I miss the Michelin Gold Standard. These City Grip tires have replaced the Gold Standard in Michelin's line-up, but they're a very different tire. Traction in rain isn't as good, since the tread pattern isn't as deep. However, the tires are significantly quieter and I would guess have less rolling resistance. Around here, though, it's frequently wet, so I miss the traction.

      I was down to some pretty slick treads, actually no treads, on my bike, so I immediately sensed the grip on these tires on wet pavement and at highway speeds.

          On my second set of 16 Inch City Grips. Mounted on a 2004 Aprilia Scarabeo. I Got 7000 miles till the belts stared showing. I'd recommend they be replaced at about 5000 mi. My prevous tires only lasted about 3000 miles so this is a great improvment. Grip is excellent the the ride is smooth and precise.
