    Great Replacement for Original Equipment

    By Litespeedster

    from Sylmar, CA

Comments about Michelin S1 Scooter Tire:

I use my Yamaha Vino 125 for daily commuting. The Michelin S1 seems closest to the style of tire that came with the scooter. The tread is beefy. Ride is smooth. Cornering is solid.

Comments about Michelin S1 Scooter Tire:

To early to realy say how good the tire will be, but for now it seems to be a great tire, only reason that i did not give it a 5***** because the valve stem. Yes I'm awear that its tubeless, but its always a good ideal to replace the stem on the rim before installing a new tire to avoid any leaks and it would not hurt the company to add the stem with the purches of the tire. Other then that I'm pleased at this time. Again i just started riding on this tire so its early to say how well it will hold up. For now its great.

Comments about Michelin S1 Scooter Tire:

I checked all the reviews for this tire and similar ones made by Kendra. There were less expensive tires from Michelin and Kendra that had favorable views, but I went with this particular tire because it had the kind of road tread that best suited my scooter-commuting needs. The tire rides very smooth and corners very well. I'm not surprised because of the Michelin name and their reputation seems to follow their great product. Bike Bandits got the tires delivered to me within 3 days--that includes the weekend. Thanks, Guys!

I own a 1986 Yamaha Riva 80 cc Scooter will this work on that scooter?

            A:

Thank you for your Question! 1986 Yamaha Riva 80cc Scooter shows to have had the 3.50 X 10 Front & Rear tire size, so that would be correct you would be able to go with a matching set for your machine.

        • Q:

I have a '94 Honda Elite 80 with 3.5x10 tires that apparently has tubes as well. Can this tire be used on a rim that uses a tube in its stock configuration? If not, which of your tires are suitable for use with "tubed" wheels?

          Thanks,

Please explain Load Index rating. Does a higher load index rating indicate a stiffer sidewall?

          • CUSTOMER CARE

            A:

            Good question.
The load rating is a measure of the tire's strength--its ability to hold air pressure under load.

The load rating influences the sidewall strength of a vehicle tire. If a tire has a load rating that is too low, the handling of the vehicle could become unstable as the sidewall buckles under the vehicle's weight
