    • Q:

I recently aquired a 1982 Honda XL80S. OEM sprockets are 15-37, I intend to replace the front (15) with this product and the rear (37) with a 36 tooth sunstar sprocket #100293. Can you recommend a chain?

        A:

Thank you for your question. Yes,a company called RK makes excellent chains. The GB 420 MXZ chain has a high tensile strength, which means less streching and less adjustments. Perfect for torquey 4 stroke engine powered dirt bikes. Average tensile strength is 5,000 lbs. per square inch. Below is a link to the RK chain:
        http://www.bikebandit.com/rk-gb-420-mxz-heavy-duty-chain
The factory spec for the 1982 Honda XL80S is 420 chain x 96 links

What is the stock sprockets for a 2002 Honda XR80. I am thinking of getting sprockets to try and make the bike have a bit more power and speed to it. What would be the best choice?

Thanks for your question! 14-46 is the stock gearing on the honda XR-80

    • Q:

What does the OEM gearing stand for. I see that it is different for different models. I have a 2004 wr450 with a stock 14 tooth front sproket. I want to replace it with a 14 tooth.

        A:

Thanks for your question! OEM is Original Equipment Manufacture. OEM is the same as stock. Your bike came with the 14 tooth in front. If you are looking to replace the sprocket, it will be the 14 tooth.

        A:

That would come stock with a 18 tooth front sprocket and a 46 tooth rear sprocket.
