        The breaker pin wasn't strong enough to remove the old chain. It snapped off before the rivit made it all the way through. The actual riviting part worked well but after using once I there is an excessive amount of wear. For how often I will be using it, it will be just fine for me.

            I used this product on my cam chain. It pushed the pin out with no problem - great alignment, stable, and no mess.
            However, I was mislead by the lack of specifications on the website (hence 3 instead of 4 stars). I believed it had everything to rivet the cam chain. What I didn't know is that it only comes with a tool to rivet hollow-nosed pins. Who ever heard of one of those on a cam chain?
            It should have a two- or four-flange edge tool for riveting cam chain pins. I had to machine my own to use with the tool.
            Otherwise, the tool is fantastic for the price - just don't get heavy-handed with it. If something seems out-of-line, stop and adjust before cranking 'er down.

            Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

                  Great piece of equipment. Used my buddies for a while and i had to get my own. Used it to change the chain on my YZ250, a 520 o-ring. And it worked effortlessly. Definitely recommend it.

                    I have a Motion Pro chain rivet tool(Your part number 24696 (6509575-001). In the instructions it lists some replacement tips avaiable for it. I am looking for one of part number 08-0059 and two of part number 08-0060.(These numbers are the Motion Pro numbers listed in the instruction sheet.)

                    Are these available through BikeBandit?

                      Yes! Just make sure you grind off the old rivet! Some chains bigger than 520 may require you to grind the head off the old chain.
