        This tool comes together nice, but the grooves where the rivets sit are not deep enough. The plates clamp on to the rivet pins and you can't press the links together. Waste of money, piece of junk.

        Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

          I am new to motorcycles and maintenance on them and this tool made installing a new drive chain extremely easy. While a rivet type master link may be more durable, this tool makes installing a press type link a breeze and costs much less for someone still building their garage's tools.

              Thank you for your question! Yes, this will be the only tool needed as long as it is a standard clip type connecting link. A rivet type like would need a different one. If there is anything else we can assist you with just call or click!

              Thanks for your question! With the Motion Pro Mini Chain Press Tool this would be to press the chain apart, the masterlink will be clip type so you can put this in yourself without any tools. Masterlinks are also model specific to the chain their being used on .
