Comments about Motion Pro PBR Chain Tool:

This is a really excellent tool. In the past, I've mangled some chains and master links with other tools. This time I decided to get a good chain tool. This is it and was worth the cost. My last chain broke at the master link and was a mess. This tool allowed me to get the bent pin and messed up links out of the old chain so I could use the rest of the chain, which was good. The instructions were very clear and the tool worked flawlessly, making me even look like I knew what I was doing. I haven't tried to rivet a new chain, only breaking both 520 O-ring and non-o-ring chains. I'd highly recommend this tool to anyone. It even comes in a nice plastic case.

Comments about Motion Pro PBR Chain Tool:

Easy to use. Self explanatory, but directions are also easy to follow. As with any chain breaker I would suggest grinding off end of rivets, before attempting to press them out . Just makes life easier.

          Works, simply and easily

          Pros

          • Flares or stakes rivets
          • Idiot-proof design

          Cons

          • Won't fit 630 chain

          Best Uses

Comments about Motion Pro PBR Chain Tool:

I've used two other more expensive chain tools and this beats them both. Line up the letter on the anvil with the word on the tool and go - simple as that. No guessing about how to configure the thing for breaking, pressing or riveting. Small dimples and pins combine with magnets to keep the anvil and/or rivet head in place and everything aligned while working on the chain. It works on both flare-type master links and quad-stake links. The only drawback is that it's too small to use on a 630 chain. They need to make a larger version.

I do chains for other riders quite frequently and this one hands down seems better than any other I've used in the past. The PBR tool is idiot proof, even a child could do it!!!!!!
