Comments about Motion Pro PBR Chain Tool:
I've used two other more expensive chain tools and this beats them both. Line up the letter on the anvil with the word on the tool and go - simple as that. No guessing about how to configure the thing for breaking, pressing or riveting. Small dimples and pins combine with magnets to keep the anvil and/or rivet head in place and everything aligned while working on the chain. It works on both flare-type master links and quad-stake links. The only drawback is that it's too small to use on a 630 chain. They need to make a larger version.
Excellent tool, excellent price

I do chains for other riders quite frequently and this one hands down seems better than any other I've used in the past. The PBR tool is idiot proof, even a child could do it!!!!!!
Very usefull tool.

In general it is a very good tool. The instructions are very clear, with photos and details. In the "press mode", it takes work to alignment the tool with the pins to avoid press the pins instead of the plate. In the "cut mode", I must removed the inner spring in order to the cut pin could extract out the pin link. If you do not do this, the pin link remains in the chain or even in the tool device.
Good tool.

This is a very useful little tool for the do-it-yourselfer. I changed my first chain with it. Previous chain broke and was already off, so I cannot comment on it's chain-breaking abilities. Pressing the side-plate on: very easy. Quite easy to get sufficient torque on the tool, while holding it firmly in place.Instructions could be a bit better with the pictures, but chances are you don't need them. Riveter was straightforward, but I neglected to forcefully hold the tool on it's proper alignment. One of my rivets flared properly, the other sagged to one side and split way prematurely. I need to replace that master link sooner rather than later. That said, I will use this tool again. It's small, simple, and provided you make sure to hold it firmly in place and accept no nonsense, it will do exactly as you wish. For the price, you can't go wrong.
