I purchased even though many reviews said that they don't last. Either they have 2 different types they send out or I am crazy. These things are bullet proof. This is my 1st tire change and they worked perfectly. Not sure what the other reviews were talking about, chewed up, can only use once. These are made of a very hard durable polymer (plastic) and I am sure they will last forever, highly recommend.
Great for the colored rims

On my YZ250 I have black rims, now I always stressed the fact that with motocross you change your tire every weekend, I wondered how long I would have black rims after I changed my tires with those tire irons? but then I found these here, I would suggest to get 2 sets which will give you 4 protectors, these slip right over the lip of your rim to protect the colored finish on your rims, with purchasing the 1 set I noticed it didnt get a big enough leverage point for the tire irons, Great product very inexpensive also
