For breaking 520-530 chain and pressing on and off 520 and some 525 master-link side-plates. Lightweight, 6 oz. including press plates and handle (8 oz. with pouch). Handle detaches for easy storage. To reduce weight further, an MP Tool, 8mm combination wrench or 8mm socket with extension can be used as a handle. Custom pouch with individual storage locations including a pocket for extra chain/master links and a large accessory pocket. This tool does not rivet master-link.

There are a lot of bad comments and reviews about the Motion Pro T-6 Chain Tool. I almost did not purchase the tool for that reason. My experience with Motion Pro Tools has always been great. I am glad that I purchased this tool to add to my collection.Last night I used the Chain Tool to removed my bikes original chain without any problems. The tool worked perfectly as expected!
Kind of flimsy

The chain breaking pin is bent after one use. I bought the RK Racing chain breaker and riveting tool to use instead and it is much more solidly built. It also comes with the riveting tool so you don't have to try to install the new chain with the sledgehammer method.
