Motorcycle Gloves

Welcome to BikeBandit.com - The Web's Largest PowerSports Store!

Motorcycle Gloves are primarily designed to protect a rider's hands from abrasions in the event of a crash. Motorcycle Gloves generally feature reinforced palms and have armor placed in key areas such as the knuckles and the back of the hand as apposed to normal gloves.

Street Motorcycle Gloves are typically made out of natural leather. Out of all materials leather tends to offer the best abrasion resistance. Though typically constructed of bovine (cow) leather, Deer Skin Leather Gloves, Kangaroo Leather Gloves and Goat Skin Leather Gloves are also viable options.

Touring Motorcycle Gloves are generally constructed out of synthetic textile materials to protect the rider from adverse elements such as the cold, wind, rain and snow. While Textile Motorcycle Gloves do not offer the abrasion resistance of leather gloves, they do offer unique benefits leather cannot offer such as waterproof breathable shells.

Off-Road Motorcycle Gloves provide not only abrasion protection in the event of a spill, but they protect the rider's fingers and tops of hands from roost often projected into the path of the motorcyclist during off-road riding and competition motocross events. Because dirt is softer than asphalt, dirt gloves are not made out of the same heavy-duty materials that a Sportbike Glove may be. Off-Road Gloves are generally made from breathable textile fabrics, but may be enhanced with armor and synthetic or natural leather palms to increase abrasion resistance.

Dual Sport Motorcycle Gloves, Supermoto Gloves and Adventure Gloves are a hybrid of both Off-Road Glove and Street Sportbike Glove technologies. Due to the high speeds and more abrasive surfaces often associated with these forms of riding, they must go beyond the needs of the dirt world. These gloves often contain benefits from both segments, offering a medium of breathability and high abrasion resistance.
