Comments about MSR Expedition Dual Sport Motorcycle Helmet:
This is the first helmet I have ordered on line and I cannot be happier with it. I bought it for primarily Street riding, though its a Dual Sport. Not only does it look cool and Girls have a tendancy to do a Double Take, but it is also is very comfortable on my big head. The air vents do a great job of keeping air flowing (if your into that sort of thing :D ) and the "bill?" is useful for keeping sun out of your eyes. I ride a 92 FZR600 Daily and love this helmet. I take it every where including back woods logging roads. Luckily for me, this helmet is also SNELL 2010 approved, so I can take it auto crossing aswell! Now thats what I call dual sport Hah. If you are looking for a cheap(er) helmet that will look like no other on the road, is comfortable, and is built well, buy this. If you live where it gets really cold and you ride in the winter, it may not be your best primary, other than that BUY IT.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Well I just used this helmet for the first time on the Durty Dabbers dual sport in PA and I will never wear goggles again. Two days of rain, mud, and chilly temps but my face was well protected. Not once did a branch slap me in the cheek nor did rocks from someone's roost hit me on the nose. When the trail got tight/slow and I got hot, all I had to do was lift the shield and plenty of cool air poured in. At quicker speeds with the shield down, the air found it's way in through the front chin port as well as the other vents and kept me cool. Cleaning was easy, just wipe it with a rag. It was a bit snug when I got it a month ago but I know from experience that helmets take time to break-in, so in a few more months it should fit perfect. And in a couple years, it will probobaly increase a half size. I dont see why people are using these dual sport helmets on their primarily street ridden ADV bikes. These helmets are still essentially a motocross design. I dont expect street helmet comfort from these DS lids at 70mph. Even the pricier Arai and Shoei arent perfect.
