I got this skidplate after a rock knocked a hole in my right crankcase cover during a dual-sport ride on a rocky road. I had the hole welded shut and took the money I saved and got this skidplate.The plate is sturdy 1/8 inch aluminum. It provides excellent protection for the bike, covering the entire underside of the crankcase as well as protecting the sides of the crankcase with "wings" that are contoured to wrap around the front of the bike's left and right crankcase covers.

good product for rocky conditions, easy to install, much better protection than stock. I will give a better review after a few hundred miles of riding.
