Comments about MSR VX1 Off-Road Boots:
I ride an enduro part of the time. I purchased these a few years back and they work great! For the price you absolutely cannot beat them. They have taken a pounding and have held up stellar. The lug sole is a real advantage in the woods when you have to push your bike or do any sort of walking (mx soles make you do the slip and slide!) The lugs are deep, so moving your feet on the footpegs does take a minute to get used to opposed to flat sole boots, but it's something you get used to quickly. I've taken a ton of sticks, logs, vines, rocks, etc to these boots and never had a single bruise, they are really well armored. A few times my foot got smashed in between the bike and something hard and nary a scratch. A couple of times I would have surely broken my leg or foot in regular boots but these made all the difference. I've owned $400 boots and I can't see any reason why they were any better.
