This Lexan polycarbonate fairing mounts directly to your motorcycle (in this case the headlight bracket), without any additional brackets, uprights or arm extensions. No other structural mounting brackets are needed. Lexan polycarbonate allows enough flex in the width to accommodate most all naked bike front ends. You get a clean uncluttered look on the front end of your motorcycle with absolutely no mount arms going to handlebars or other points, making installation a breeze. Larger windscreen made from high impact acrylic is not a "Direct Mount" hardware system but mounts to the motorcycle’s headlight mount point using platinum colored aluminum uprights.

National Cycle F-16 on SV650
By aceldama

Comments about National Cycle F-16 Sport Windshield:
I have a '99 SV650 and I try to ride year round here in New England (when it isn't raining/snowing). I'm used to riding the bike without any screen or fairing but it can get pretty cold in the Fall/Winter months so I thought I'd try a windscreen.I was drawn to the F-16 because it doesn't look horrible and the price was right. I was also interested in a Puig but couldn't find any stateside, and though the Givi A750 looked really good I wasn't paying $150+ for such a product.-Installation: The instructions were pretty straight forward and the installation was rather easy. The only drawback is that the washers that are supposed to be used between the bolt and the headlight bracket can't really be reused from the factory bolts because they won't slide off. So either get some new washers or just don't use any (I didn't bother).-Looks: It looks great on the bike, I'll leave it on all year round-Performance: This isn't a very large shield but it does a pretty good job of keeping the wind off of my chest. If I sit totally upright (I'm about 5'11) my helmet is in clean, quiet air. If I crouch while on the highway it can get really noisy in the helmet behind the shield. I'd recommend earplugs if you're planning on using this shield for highway duty.

I got the F-16 Sport windscreen for a 1991 Honda CB750 Nighthawk. It looks pretty good, but I was NOT impressed with the mounting brackets. The picture is not accurate. You get two bent pieces of metal that are supposed to clamp it in place against the headlight mounting brackets (they look like a little "L" or "J"). It didn't work and looks really like something a 10 year old would put on a dirtbike. I wasn't impressed, so I made my own. I needed a welder, drill, bits, nuts, bolts, threaded supports, and rubber washers. The windscreen probably could be used without all this, but it bounced ALOT and I wasn't too impressed with the mounting on the headlight bucket (I kept having a vision of it breaking off and flying at my head while I was cruising down the highway). So, with that in mind, I fabbed up two struts to support the top corners of the thing to keep it from bouncing or shifting and rotating back towards the rider (me).It does do it's job, it keeps most of the wind off my chest and makes cruising at 80-85mph more enjoyable. 55-65mph is a dream.I would recommend this to anyone who can 'fix' stuff and make it better. I don't think I would get another one, if I did I would figure spending another $20 or so for hardware and stuff to brace it up.Just thought I would add my opinion. Thanks!
