not exactly "BOLT ON"

Comments about National Cycle Heavy Duty Windshield Mounting Kit:

this was the recommended mounting kit for the"93" kaw.- 750n vulcan . I had to relocate the turn signals completely,I only used 1 set of clamps and had to drill and tap the headlight bracket to mount the upper screws for the bracket.I couldn't have mounted the windshield without this kit , but it took some fab work and 3 hrs. to do it ! Don't expect to just put it on easily .

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about National Cycle Heavy Duty Windshield Mounting Kit:

Easy to install and looks great on my bike. However there are eight chrome cap nuts that came with the mounts five were 1/4" 20 threads per inch which is correct but three were 10 MM which did not fit the hardware for the mounts. I contacted the manufacturer but haven't heard back yet. I since bought three 1/4-20 SS cap nuts that work but isn't a perfect match to the other hardware. However I am satisfied with the look and durability of the mounts.

    I have a 2006 Honda VTX 1300C and am interested in putting a windshield on. The windshield height range of 20-21.5 inches appears to be a good range for me, but I do not know whether to order the narrow or wide fork mounting kit. What are the measurements of the National Cycle Wide Heavy Duty Touring Windshield mounting kit so I am sure to order the right width mounting kit?

      Thanks for your question! The recommended National Cycle Heavy Duty Windshield Mounting Kit for a 1996 Yamaha Virago 750 would vary depending on which windshield was ordered. The Touring, Chopped, Beaded (Clear) or Beaded (Black) windshields would need a Wide Frame Heavy Duty mount kit. Part number 72007 is the correct mounting hardware number for the 1988-1998 Yamaha XV750 Virago with one of the above windshields.
