The Nolan N42E Open Face Helmet comes ready for N-COM® communication system (Not Included). It features an aerodynamic polycarbonate shell with built-in spoiler for improved stability. VPS® (Vision Protection System) – short dark shield mounted on the outside of the shell and moving independently from the clear shield with 4 positions; fully removable and washable Clima-Comfort® interior on snaps, with superior wicking and wind-noise reduction qualities. Sanitized® is a fiber, not a treatment, which is woven in all Nolan liners, with anti-microbial and hypoallergenic interior to keep the helmets fresher longer. Super efficient JSW® top vent with exhaust grid in the rear spoiler, operated by glove-friendly rubber sliders. It also includes optically correct, tool-less quick-change Lexan® faceshield that offers UV 400 protection, microlock® (adjustable quick release) retention system and velour chin-strap padding.

    I love this helmet! I have never paid more than $80 to $90 for a helmet in the past and I have had several. Now I know why paying more is the smart thing to do because you truly get more for your money. This helmet is really comfortable accommodating my big ears yet snug on my head. And I do not get that claustrophic feeling of a full face helmet. Nolan makes a good helmet without a doubt!!!

      this helmet is very comfortable. being the passenger on a goldwing I sometimes get a lot of wind but this is snug enough my head doesn't bob around.

          This is my second Nolan helmet. I really love this helmet. They have a snug but comfortable fit. They are not heavy and the standard quick release strap makes it so easy to secure and remove the helmet. Since I wear glasses the added sun shield is terrific when the light changes while riding. I do recommend this helmet to fellow riders.

              Here is the xs-mall and small sizing chart to help you out. Based on this sizing chart I would say a small would be better suited for you.

              X-Small - 20 1/2 - 21 1/4
              Small - 21 5/8 - 22

              That is correct, Both or only one may be left off. you would need to have the clear shield on though in order to eb able to attach the small tinted portion. It will not mount without the clear one on there.
