Comments about Olympia Moto Sports AST 2 Touring Motorcycle Jacket:
I've had this jacket for about a 1 1/2 years now and use it almost daily for commuting. I've riden with it in temps from 104* to 20* and in complete down pours. This jacket is rock solid. I've never had a leak or gotten wet any time. It vents well although at those extreme high temps it can be a little hot but the only solution would be to go with more mesh. I would rather sweat a little then bleed a little. The one big thing I like about this jacket that for whatever reason seems to get over looked by many is the toughness of the fabric in key areas. This jacket has 2000 Cordura on the elbows and shoulders which are some of the most criticle areas when you are sliding. A lot of other jackets look over this area and have matterial that is considerably less durable. I've even unfortuately tested the elbow in a low speed low side accident I had and I can tell you that the elbow that made contact showed some abrasions, but did not have a loss of structual integrity.I bought the Hi-Vis color and I'm thankful I did. The zip out liner is the perfect addition to the jacket to add some warmth and doesn't add much bulk. Others have said this jacket feels heavy, well it is a 3/4 jacket and that extra thick materal used does add weight (and strength) but I don't find it cumbersome at all. You get used to it.

Haven't had a chance to use it yet but it's very heavy to walk around in, and that's without anything in the pockets yet. I'll have a better idea after my New Zealand trip with the jacket.
Olympia Ast 2 jacket

Just bought the Olympia Ast 2 textile jacket. I ride a HD Ultra Limited.Got up this morning and it was 33*, put my longsleeve Harley shirt and a HD leather vest on.Put my Olympia AST 2 jacket on. Rode 10 miles to town. Hit 90 mph on the interstate. No wind came threw the sleeves or anywhere. The jacket performed great in cold weather. Have not had the jacket a week yet. So I can not comment on riding in the rain.Wished the flaps that covers the zipper was Velcro.Same thing on the pockets. I do not like having to deal with Buttons. Could use a few more storage pockets and some kind of liner in the hand pockets. The Velcro on the neck strap works easy and it feels god.
