Comments about Olympia Moto Sports X Moto All Season Transition Motorcycle Jacket:
I was looking for a jacket I could wear in cold, hot, wet or dry weather and not have to carry a second lighter jacket with another set of pads, etc. This X Moto jacket (also got the pants - also great, the full leg zippers alone make them worth the money, you can take them on and off, and remove liner, etc, without taking your boots off) is perfect for all weather use. Very warm and dry in rain, and cool with the liners out and vents open. The waterproof liner is its own jacket, so you don't have to carry another. The waterfproof outside pockets are perfect for garage door opener, wallet, etc. I wasn't sure what the point was of those being waterproof - now I get it.The clear window on the left sleeve is perfect for anyone riding onto a military base. Put your ID in there, buy the high-visibility color scheme, and leave your mil-spec orange vest at home - forever.Another note about the hi-vis color: I almost didn't get this and soooooo glad I did. Face it, you want to be as visible as possible when you're riding, and I have seen a SIGNIFICANT difference in the behavior of people in cars since getting this jacket because I am more visible. Not saying I now trust them all with my life, but this is definitely better. This is the first really high end riding gear I've had in 35 years of riding. If you've looked at these and wondered whether they're worth the money, well, I'm sold. I'd buy this jacket/pants combo again in a heartbeat.I have a Yamaha Super Tenere. This jacket works great with that riding position. When I first tried the jacket with the liners and all, I was afraid the shoulders and back might be too snug (I'm 5'11", 195lbs, got an XL). But when I sat on the bike, I was amazed how good the whole thing felt, mobility in the jacket when riding is excellent.I also like the strap across the throat - you can stick that out of the way when it's a little warmer, and can lay the whole collar down when it's really warm.I've gotten to ride this in 40 degrees and rain: very very happy with the whole set.
