Those of us who own the Buell Ulysses XB12XT dual-sport know how inadequate the stock lighting system is. I live in Northeastern California, where the deer are a very real road-hazard. After upgrading the bulbs in the stock low and high-beams with PIAAs, I decided I needed more lighting, especially on those early-morning rides when Bambie was contemplating turning my commute into a fur/motorcycle nightmare. I did some research, considered going cheap, then went with the best. WHAT A DIFFERENCE! I fabricated a bracket out of 1" aluminum barstock, drilled a couple of holes, mounted the lights on the bracket, snaked the supplied wiring-harness around the frame (the hardest part of the install), located the switch on top of the stock light-switch, connected the wiring-harness to my battery, and was done. Took about an hour. WOW! What a difference!
