work good for me

By gigantor

Comments about Pirelli MT 21 Motorcycle Tire:

Mounted on a 2009 DR650 and they work satisfactorily. Keep air pressure at about 18 psi+ and they will track and slide pretty predictably. No trouble on the street, just keep the air pressure up. That does not mean they are like street tires-they do feel squirmy on the blacktop but I found they have good traction in the dirt.

Worth The Extra !

By OffRoadOldGuy

Comments about Pirelli MT 21 Motorcycle Tire:

Having always bought cheap tires I finally broke down and put a set of MT21s on my XR650L. First time in the dirt I realized that this was money well spent. 150 miles of gravel and shale and not a scratch! My tire of choice now.

MT21's

By Porgan

Comments about Pirelli MT 21 Motorcycle Tire:

Truly excellent dual purpose tires on a DR650, WR250, XT225, and DRZ400. Work well in the dirt, in the wet, and on the street, even at high speeds. Maybe not if you are trying to spin them on pavement with a 46hp big bore kit, but if you are a normal person and a good rider, they work just fine!

Good Tire

By Frer

from Undisclosed

Comments about Pirelli MT 21 Motorcycle Tire:

I use this tire on the front of my KLR650. Works good in all conditions. This tire, along with a D606 on the rear, is the best all around combo I have found. Even sticks pretty well on the street.

  • Q:

My bike uses front tire size 80/100-21 M/C 51P. Should I get the 80/90 or the 90/90 tires? I've used the Pirelli MT-21's in the past, and loved them, but I always just let the shop order them.

IS THE 140/80 A WIDER TIRE THAN THE OTHERS?

      Thanks for your question.

Yes the 140 will be wider than the other sizes. The 140 is the tire width in MM and the 80 is the aspect ratio and the 18 is the rim size.
