Long Lasting hook up quality!!!

Have had this tire for about 8 months. Was good in the begining but as it wore down it still hooked all over the place. I ride northern NV, rocks, sand, hard pack and silt, whoops, long hill climbs. I havn't had any mud/ snow conditions yet but I plan on changing the tire before then. I have been a die hard Bridgestone M602 guy since my 650R and on my 450X but they are hard to find now a days. This is my replacement for the M602. Good tire/ Great price!!!

The Pirelli MX eXTRa Is a Great tire Good hook up in mud and still gets some traction on hard pack dirt. I ride a good bit of rocky areas and havent lost any knobys.

MX eXTRa Rear

I bought this tire during the '08 S12 shortage... Being a diehard S12 fan, I was reluctant to try anything new, but the Pirelli has been nearly everything and more that the S12 was. After 1 year of trail riding in conditions from loam to rock and 4 southeast enduros, not one knob has popped off - zero chunking!! I suppose rounding of the knobs is normal after a year's worth of riding - and still the tire continues to hook up great in a variety of terrain conditions. Granted, the eXTRa comes up short in the mud and supersoft stuff when compared with the S12, but, overall, the tire has been terrific and it wears soooo much better than the S12. Final verdict: S12 is the better tire if you only need it for 2-3 rides and don't ride the rocks - eXTRa is the better tire for a wider range of terrain conditions and certainly more bang for the buck.

Great products and great prices, but tend to shop for the free shipping...
