Decent jacket for the price

Comments about Alpinestars Cape Town Air Drystar Jacket:
My previous touring jacket was a bit smaller than I had hoped, so I bought one size up with this one. Not enough. Even going two sizes up, with both liners it was very difficult to get off of my arms while trying it on. I can't imagine trying to take it off with the rain liner in after riding through a summer storm. One thing I like about this jacket is that the waterproof liner is removable, allowing it to actually breathe. So far I've only had occasion to wear it in warm-to-hot weather, so I guess time will tell if the liners are enough to make it a year-round jacket for me.Like others, I find the tall collar unusual on an otherwise warm-weather jacket, but it has not been uncomfortable so far, even in 95 F heat.Unfortunately, I'm still searching for that "perfect" all-weather, year-round touring jacket.

Works great in hot weather. Flows a lot of air. Haven't tried the liners yet, but I like having two liners. Great pockets. Overall very happy with this jacket. I just find it mildly annoying that the zipper pulls are on the wrong side.
Great warm weather jacket.
I recently ordered one of these from BB. Fast Shipping and a great product. Fantastic ventilation arms and torso. Now I am cold in the mornings and perfect in the afternoon, even in 90+ weather. Jacket seems well made. One minor issue is the zipper pull is onthe wrong side. I'm sure I'll get used to it. Haven't tried the liners yet. It should be nice to have two layers to add or remove.
should have gotten larger size
from NW Oregon
Size runs small, works well in hot wether without liners and with liners worked well in the rain. The collar is tall and to tight to be used comfortably.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
