Comments about Alpinestars Valparaiso Drystar Jacket:

Rode with this jacket in the Sierra Mountains in October. Great venting capabilities. It was cold in the mornings and hot in the afternoons and this jacket did well in both extremes. I rode with the line out and was fine, but I think I would have used the liner below 40.

The only con was the lack of a place for a water bladder or Camel Bak. There is a huge vent across the back of the jacket which is a great idea from Alpinestars, but it makes having a Camel Bak in the jacket impossible. You could wear a Camel Bak in a backpack, but that would block the airflow from the vent... so I guess you can't have your cake and eat it too...

% star jacket, but I took one off because I got thirsty!
