Great jacket for the money
from Concord, NC
Comments about BikeBandit.com Leather Motorcycle Jacket:
I purchased this jacket during one of the 1 day sale emails. I can't list the exact price but I've paid more for a tank of gas in my truck. My first thought was that the jacket is very heavy and stiff. This is my first leather motorcycle coat so I didn't know what to expect. It comes with elbow, back, and shoulder padding. I immediatly removed all of these as they made the jacket too stiff for me to move around comfortably. That made a big difference. The leather is softening up as it wears in and, after the initial break in, this has become a comfortable jacket. Still too stiff for daily use but, for riding, it's perfect. The leather is very thick, which accounts for the overall stiffness. This is a good thing in a motorcycle jacket. The zippers are heavy duty YKK brand and should take a lot of abuse. The zipper pulls are large enough that I can grab them with my gloves on. The quilted liner is full sleeve rather than just a vest and attaches at the wrists to keep from pulling out as you remove the jacket. I am 6' tall with a 36" waist and my arms are fairly long. Based on other reviews, I ordered an X-large. The waist of the jacket is snug due to the accordian sides taking up the slack. There is a lot of room to grow before they become completely stretched out. The sleeves are the perfect length. When stretched out to the handlebars, my wrists don't stick out the ends. The chest seems to be slightly loose compared to the waist. When sitting on the bike, it tends to bunch up. I would have liked to try the large but didn't want to deal with returning it if it was too small. If I had it to do over again, I'd order both sizes at the same time and return the one that didn't work out. For the price I paid, this is an unbeatable deal. My only complaint is that the neck is somewhat tight compared to the rest of the jacket. A second snap to adjust the neck or velcro instead of snaps would be nice. Other than that, this is a great jacket. There are no vents but I never noticed a big difference when using the ones on my textile jacket so I don't think I'll miss them. If it gets hot enough, 'll just unzip the front a little or stick it in my saddlebag.

I'm 6'4", 250 lbs. Usually order and wear an XL. After reading the reviews, I ordered an XXL, still too small. I re-ordered an XXXL. Now it's good but will loosen up more as its worn in. Will [@] the original.Good riding jacket for round town riding spring and fall, and on cooler summer days. I would use a more tactical jacket for away trips.Zip out liner.Good leather, good value, would definitely recommend buying, JUST ORDER 2 SIZES LARGER.

Good jacket for the price
from Virginia Beach
This jacket appears to be good quality with heavy leather. It is still a little stiff, but it's starting to break in. I ordered a large and have lots of room in the chest with a tight fit around the waist (5'10", 185lbs). There are no vents, so it can't be used in warm weather.
Order right size

Jacket seems OK but does not fit me well. I'm 5' 8", 203lbs. I ordered an X-Large. Too tight, and sleeves too long for me. I would guess this jacket would fit a guy well who was at least 5' 11" and no more than 180 lbs. Ordering larger for me would make the sleeves even more ridiculous than they already are on me. I won't send it back, but gift it to someone that it fits. Bottom line, if you have a thin build this jacket will fit you well. If you have a stocky build, buy something else.
