Comments about Icon Contra Motorcycle Jacket:
I've worn the jacket everyday since I bought it and it's terrific. If I have a complaint it's that the zipper pulls on the pockets are too small and hard to find with gloves on.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

great all around jacket

i bought my icon contra a few months back, when the weather was still cold, the insulated liner works wonders, however when the weather gets warmer and you take the liner out it doesn't quite fit the same..but the jacket is very breathable without the liner and is an overall good buy for the price. the only other issue i have is that the jacket has nothing reflective on it what so ever so ill be buying a mil spec vest to go over mine.

I bought this jacket for my husband and he loves it!! It provides good protection and is comfortable enough to wear daily!
I'm overall satisfied with this jacket. As described elsewhere it is a "3 season jacket" meaning spring, summer, fall. Although it is a tad heavy for very hot days above 90 degrees, its a relaxed fit meaning it doesn't fit snug against your body allowing air to move through it, so when you are stationary it gets warm but once you get up to speed, air flows and circulates quite nicely. It almost feels too big, but I feel that if I had gotten a size smaller it would have been too small. I went with my suit jacket size (40) which is a med. in this jacket. I think loose fit would better describe this jacket instead of relaxed fit I can't decide if thats a pro or con yet. Cuff has a button and zipper going up the inside forearm, is loose witch feels sloppy (a negative) but it allows air to come in (a positive). I may just be accustomed to my snug fitting Alpinestars jacket though. The liner looks of very good quality, thick, and should do well insulating. I can't comment how well yet, it being summer time now. The whole jacket is very well put together and I am a happy customer and will stay loyal to Icon as long as they continue putting out gear like this.
