Comments about Tour Master Sonora Air Motorcycle Jacket:
So this jacket fits the bill for exactly what I was looking for. I wanted a jacket that was versatile enough to handle cold spring and fall mornings, but also hot summer days. With both liners in (wind/rain and quilted), and layered with a light sweater and a neck gaiter, this jacket has performed well down to 29F. The neck gaiter is a necessity, as the "collar" sits very low. One minor complaint would be the wrists if your gloves are not long enough to cover up to where the liners start underneath the mesh.I have also used on a 90F sunny day with both liners out, and the jacket feels light and airy. The protection is still there with the liners out and I have had a few comments from coworkers that I look like a super hero with the jacket on (the armor is almost cartoonish). Small price to pay for safety.I am 6'2" and about 210lbs with an athletic build. I ordered the LT and I am happy with the fit, but I like my jackets snug not loose.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

So Far, So Good!

It is February in the Great White North, so a fully mesh jacket isn't going to get an on-road review quite yet. The jacket and the Tourmaster sizing chart are spot on. I selected the 3XL based on my measurements (6 ft, 265) and the jacket fits like it was custom made. The workmanship is excellent and the factory packaging (all the zipper pulls were wrapped in paper to prevent damage to the fabric, for example) shows an attention to detail. The colours are what I expected and the fabrics used appear to be very strong and should prove to be durable. I am looking forward to the tempature climbin above freezing to try it on the road!
I can highly recommend this jacket....

I order the black in XXXL Tall. I'm 6' 3", 250 lbs. and jacket fits me perfect. Nice long sleeves, long in rear and front. Has velcro adjuster/straps to prevent wind flapping (on sleeves and waist. Has long sleeve, insulated pull-out liner, many pockets. Has pads in shoulders, elbows, back. Looks great, really comfortable. Wouldn't use for real cold weather. Probably great down to about 45-50'..
Great multi season jacket.

Never had a mesh jacket but had been studying all the brands and styles and finially decided on the Sonora jacket by TourMaster due to all its features, waterproof, insulation, mesh, and style. Not having this jacket until just a few weeks ago, I've not had the chance to ride in any cooler weather than the low seventies but have worn the jacket in ninety plus degrees and so far I've been impressed with its function. Hot weather is still hot but having just the mesh shell on made the ride much more enjoyable, like riding in the shade. It was quite warm when stopped in traffic but a lot nicer while on the move vaporizing what sweat occurred. Being "shaded" the sweat provided extra cooling and wasn't blown away with the wind since it was somewhat shaded from the sun. I used another light jacket under the mesh shell that i had to provide some wind resistance during the cooler temps of the late afternoon and early evening instead of zipping both of the removable liners that came included as part of the jacket setup which worked great much to my surprise. At 6'3" and 280 lbs I normally use a XXXL but had to send it back and reordered a XXL that fit a lot better and wasn't as baggy feeling as the triple X was. The XXLfit perfectly and even has room for a Gerbings heated jacket for colder weather as well. I'd recommend this jacket to any rider that wants protection from the heat and vold as well as any unforseen crashes, style, and conveniounce of not having to pack a winter jacket, a rain suit, plus protection from summer's heat. I believe that this jacket will function as planned on the two week trip here in a couple of weeks without wasting space by having to carry a separate jacket for any weather conditions that we might incur.Failed to mention that I also bought my wife the same jacket, in a woman's size and cut as well. I'll know more how well I'll be impressed after my trip to Colorado and SD.I ride a 2012 BMW K1600 GTL and a 2007 BMW 1200 GS and believe this jacket will function perfectly for its intended use.
