Comments about Cortech Super 2.0 Motorcycle Saddlebags:
So far so good with these bags. Sure, you can spend a lot more of you want to. But these so the job just fine. I use them daily. I'm away from home most of the week for work and need to pack along two days worth of clothes, as well as assorted other items. These bags work perfect for that. I simply remove them from the bike and take them with me as my luggage.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Good size for everyday use and essentials. Adequate stiffness. May need help after constant use. I've used Cortech/Tour Master bags for the last 10 years and 86,000+ miles!

Used on a 5-day 1,500 mile loop with some rain and in temps from 50F to 85F.After initial install, it takes about 1 minute to put them on the bike. They stay put even at 3 digit speeds and I didn't really notice them affecting the bike. Didn't feel any sway in the corners, the capacity held more than I needed. The reflective tape they use is well integrated and looks great. The heat shield on the bottom seemed to work really well. In fact I got stuck in a 1 hour traffic jam in the heat. My bike came close to overheating but the bags didn't show any sign of heat stress and the inside of the bags and contents didn't either.They bags by themselves without rain covers are not very water resistant. They had damp interiors just from riding on damp roads without rain. I pack my stuff in gallon zip-locks so that wasn't a problem.The rain covers work but leave a lot to be desired. I got the tail bag which attaches nicely, but it also blocks the cinch cording on the rain cover. The straps that attach the saddlebags to the bike interfere with the rain covers when you pull them over. You also need to be careful stretching them over the saddlebag above your tail pipe (I burned my hand stretching it under the bag.The covers stayed put but I was constantly watching them in my side mirrors because they flap so much. They do keep the bags dry and the bags were not damp inside when I used the rain covers. I would like to see a better rain cover that has some slots to put the attachment straps through with a Velcro flap over the slot that seals out rain after it is installed. The covers are black with no reflective tape. I would like some visibility on the rain covers too (reflective tape and maybe high vis color) because rainy weather is when you really need to be visible.Overall the bags were great! I compared to some other brands at local shops and these are definitely much higher quality construction and they were less money than the bags at the local shop. The attachment mechanisms were also much better. The rain covers work, but I didn't like them that much.One other thing that would be really cool is if they could come up with a thin seat cushion that attaches to the Velcro straps that straddle the seat so you can have a passenger. The foot pegs on my bike would work for a passenger with the bags attached, but sitting on the straps would be very uncomfortable. There wasn't a way to run the straps under my seat as they prevented the seat from attaching to the bike. The capacity in the bags along with a seat cushion solution would make it possible to go for a weekend trip with a passenger.
