Solid boot....sizes run LARGE
from Pompano Beach, FL
Comments about Joe Rocket Sonic R Motorcycle Boots:
This product runs LARGE....I'm a 10 in nearly every shoe/ boot out there and a solid 43 Euro.....I received my boots tried them on and could slip my entire hand in the back of the boot behind my heel. Called Bike Bandit to send the product back and was advised I have to incur the shipping charges????? This is 2014 and there is waaaayyy too much competition out there that does picks up this cost when situations like this occur .......THEREFORE THIS WILL BE MY FIRST AND LAST ORDER WITH THIS WEBSITE....Good Luck to everyone out there. This same product is sold on amazon w/ free shipping and we all know amazon's return policy if they don't fit......a note to customer service........recognize you are operating an e-retailing business.....this is not a good business practice.

Boots for BC Weather.
from BC. Canada
I bought the Sonic R riding boots to provide a comfortable street and adventure boot. My key points I desired was shin protection with water proof. I feel this is a very comfortable boot that once broke in fits all my needs for a great price. I ride a V-strom and find them perfect for this style of riding. Great gusset and weather proof and I've only worn them in the fall so far. They will be plenty warm for a 3 season boot and feel they will be shelved in the of the summer. Enough padding in shin for a enjoyable road ride but not clunking around in racing armor. Bought the same size I wear in sneakers and they fit bang on. Sincerely, Stromin

Great boots but small size
I normally wear size 11 boots, but couldn't get Size 11 on my right foot, and very tight on left. Returned and reordered Size 13. I figured I could wear thick socks if too big, but the 13's fit comfortably with 1 pair of socks. The boot top is a bit thick. Some jeans may not fit over the boot top. First wearing was to motorcycle races. Had about 30 miles of heavy rain on the way home, but dry feet, and my old rainsuit let only my pants legs get wet. If you buy large enough, very comfortable riding and walking, and they are rain-proof. Very happy with these boots, except for the extra shipping cost to return and reorder.

I had these boots for about a year before I had an unfortunate low side accident and destroyed the left boot. Needless to say - the boots did their job! The left boot abraded at the toe to the inner plastic armor and the heel separated, and I was lucky to walk away with only a sprained ankle. I thank the boot construction quality for that. Prior to the crash I found these boots comfortable, sturdy, and well constructed. I didn't have the opportunity to test them in a serious rain but I suspect they would be fine given the inner liner and zipper / flap construction. Needless to say I just ordered another pair to replace the crashed ones. Excellent value for the price.
