Comments about River Road Guardian Motorcycle Boots:
These are some of the least expensive motorcycle boots I've found. I was neither overwhelmed nor disappointed with this purchase given the price. I needed a good work boot the I could wear for 8 hours in 100 degree temps, around harsh chemicals. I didn't want to spend $150 for some "nice" boots that I knew would get destroyed in just a few months. These seem to fit the bill. I normally a size 9, and the fit was good, although the toe box was a little wide. The boot is fairly light, and the sole has a good amount of flex. This is a short ankle boot with no ankle protection. If you want more protection you'd have to opt for the taller version. There is some venting along the side of the boot, and a full mesh tongue. Surprisingly, the boot doesn't seem to get too hot, even with temps here in Texas around 105. The boot felt good to walk in on the 1st few days, but I've noticed some "dead" spots in the footbed. Inserts should correct this. On the bike the boots performed well, with good feel for the controls and nice firm footing when at stops. My only real complaints are a lack of Velcro or something to tuck the laces away, which are rather long. And, the tongue seems a little short. It doesn't quite meet the top of the shoe. An odd design flaw, but not a deal breaker. The toe box is firm, but there isn't any reinforcement. Still, it's a good sturdy boot for the price.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Well ventilated boot and very comfortable and light. Sole grips the road nicely. Ligtweight so also good for walking around. Very flexible.
Lightweight, very comfortable, great gripping sole, easy to get off and on, runs true to size, great ventilation in hot weather riding. In all a really excellent buy for the very reasonable price, I give this boot an excellent rating and I have eleven other pairs of boots!!
